In developing ties between Hope in Tottenham and the College of North East London, May saw the rollout of two new initiates supporting students studying Construction and Marketing in the borough.

The initiatives, which work within the hybrid learning model educators have relied on this year; aims to connect over 1,300 students across the four North London campuses with Industry relevant insights.

These insights will be delivered through industry talks, work experience and relevant training modules where possible and so far, Real Estate Development company, Lipton Rogers LLP and Facebook UK have already gotten on board.

In an event reaching almost two-thirds of CONEL’s Marketing Students last week, Marking aspirants were connected with Facebook Business Trainers ahead of a Facebook Marketing Accreditation course starting in September.

Students who graduate from the accreditation course become eligible for training under the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s professional qualifications. This potentially places students on a career path that exceeds current expectations, as schemes such as Facebook’s Black Representation in Marketing (BRiM) begin to take off, filling an in-demand role in a niche specialism.

Meanwhile, students studying Construction at CONEL have been connected with Real Estate Development company, Lipton Rogers LLP with help from the Mayor of London’s Champion for Tottenham, Sir Stuart Lipton. This initiative will also give access to the construction industry for students attempting to professionalise.
